Bravado removes Blue
NEWS | Sillicur | DOTA | August 6, 2015
Bravado Gaming strives to be more than just a leading MGO in South Africa, its a home where family and friends are made and where our players can thrive and real relationships are built. That is why this announcement is so very hard to announce.
Bravado Gaming has officially parted ways with our Dota 2 Blue squad. Removing a squad or player from our lineup is not something we take lightly. However, it is something our MGO has to do to grow in the future.
Let’s make one thing clear from the start; the decision to remove Blue is purely a business decision and is linked to the future growth of Bravado Gaming in certain aspects. The squad had performed exceptionally well and has some of the most talented players in South Africa. There are absolutely no hard feelings against any of the Blue players and the only emotion attached to the decision is that of sadness, but sometimes you have to make a tough decision for the future of your brand.
Removing a squad with a bunch of genuine characters has been one of the hardest things that we’ve had to do, especially after building such a good personal relationship with each and every one of the players. This was not a personal decision and had nothing to do with the performance or capability of Bravado Blue, it was purely a business decision based on the future and growth of Bravado Gaming.
I want to thank each and every player in Bravado Blue for everything they’ve accomplished in our organization and wish them only the best of luck in their next endeavor. There is no doubt that the squad is of top class and I would highly recommend them to any South African gaming organization that is willing to support them. – Andreas ‘cent’ Hadjipascali
We bid goodbye to the following players
- Wesley ‘oDu’ Rose
- Anthony ‘scant’ Hodgson
- Andrew ‘choseN’ Ferguson
- Wazeer ‘smacKa’ Kamdar
- Darron ‘LKR’ Reinhardt
Hopefully another big South African MGO will pick up these players and support them, as all of them have the skill and drive to compete at the very top of South African Dota 2.
Our current Dota 2 lineup is as follows
- Wasim ‘seem’ Lorgat
- Donio ‘doni’ Teixeira
- Charl ‘welp’ Geldenhuys
- Liam ‘ferrari’ Berrill
- Abdur ‘habibi’ Kamdar
Although the decision to drop Blue from the Bravado Gaming roster is a tough one, we are sure it is the best decision for our MGO. We do have plans on implementing a third, unannounced division in the future but for now we will continue to compete at the highest level in CS:GO and Dota 2, focusing primarily on these two titles.
