Get your gaming shoes on: video game inspired sneakers that don’t suck
NEWS | Stephanie | Industry | May 19, 2014
So, I am totally a huge fan of sneakers. I have realised that this isn't so much a 'girl' thing as a 'liking my feet not to be wet because it's constantly raining in Cape Town' thing. Nobody likes trench foot.
Anyway, here are some examples of shoes that will allow you to be both stylish and dry in the feetal region:
[I would like you to appreciate how hard it was to find these, because for some reason my anti-virus keeps picking up shoe websites as being harmful. I don't understand why this is a thing.]
These Tetris-inspired numbers are a reminder of what I spent my childhood (and a fair amount of my adulthood) doing, i.e. making funny, colourful shapes into a straight line. It really doesn't sound that impressive when I say it like that.
Say what you will about Mass Effect and it's ending etc etc, some good things did come out of the game; like multiplayer that is quite fun, music (check out Kabuto the Python) and, apparently, shoes.
The filthy console peasant race deserves shoes too.
Let them have fancy soles also, because if we don't things might turn into this…
…And nobody wants that, now do they.
For people who like to do a slightly less garish version of peacocking , here are some adorable loafer-type things.
I'm a huge fan of these, but if they were holographic I would be even more happy.
You would probably have to spend a lot of money to get your hands on a pair of shoes like this, due to them being hand-painted. Still, worth it.
Totes adorbs. 8/10, would wear.
Much Bomber Man. What's not to love?
To be fair, these don't actually exist. But a person can dream.
