Most gamers play just for fun, though a little competition always makes things interesting! But when you are competing at the top and doing so for fame, glory and riches, every advantage matters.
This is why pro gaming team Bravado relies on Alienware computers to give them the edge over the competition. So who better to ask about the new Alienware Command Centre 2.0, recently updated on Alienware systems.
The pros weigh in
The first great change you notice is the impressive new design for the menus, said Aran ‘Sonic’ Groesbeek: “It looks extremely sleek and has a more professional look to it than before.”
He and his fellow teammates are among the top global competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players, a distinction that means they can’t waste time when they could be practicing. Because of this, the Alienware Command Centre is a welcome way to get to gaming faster.
Ruan ‘Elusive’ Van Wyk agreed, highlighting the ability to conveniently make changes to general settings in Windows: “I could always go back to doing it manually, but it’s certainly not as fast or convenient!”
The team isn’t always competing and like to play less stressful titles such as Player Unknown: Battlegrounds, World of Warcraft, H1Z1 and even the indie rhythm game OSU! If that’s not enough, they also get access to some of the newest alphas and betas. With so much choice, Bravado’s CS:GO team were universal on the ease of use and straightforward configuration of games. Rhys “Fadey” Armstrong said he is careful about getting too reliant on anything for his competitive edge, “but I’d have to say the Alienware Command Centre helps so much to control the features of the laptop that I use it quite extensively.”
Overlock with ease
Fadey also praised the extensive new FX tab, which lets players customise their rigs around lighting effects with 16.8 million colors, including Alienware peripherals. But the real secret weapon of the new Alienware Command Centre is the Fusion tab, a place where gamers can safely tweak and overclock their systems to get the best performance, said Johnny ‘JT’ Theodosiou: “I have overclocked my CPU speed and it’s helped a lot. The ability to change it in ACC helps a lot. The Alienware Command Centre allows me to actually use the full performance of my PC much easier.”
Sonic agreed: “I have used the overclocking feature as I need the most out of my games to get the highest FPS (frames per second) as I possibly can. So far the Fusion tab has made my games A LOT smoother.” Fadey called it his favourite feature in the new Alienware Command centre, because it makes overclocking much easier: “It’s the first time I have ever overclocked my CPU, because it is actually so simple using the ACC.”
The pros have made their choice: Alienware Command Centre, available exclusively on Alienware gaming laptops and desktop PCs, gives them the edge and gets them to gaming faster. Imagine what it can do for your gaming!
