It is no secret that the first few months of Project Destiny 2.0 have been met with plenty of lows to match the highs. Unfortunately, one of the most extenuating circumstances we have had to deal with has been the process of acquiring VISAs for our players within Serbia. Certainly not for a lack of trying, we have met consistent difficulties with the Serbian government despite exploring numerous options in order to let our players focus on playing Counter-Strike. Following yet another VISA refusal with little to no feedback on the reasoning for such, Bravado’s management team has decided to cut our losses and refocus our efforts elsewhere in Europe.
Currently, Doru and Triton have returned to South Africa with the remainder of the team’s belongings from Serbia. We are now going through the process of cooperating with other government entities for a refreshed approach to the project, looking towards other locations within Europe to send the team such as Greece and Bulgaria.
To reassure everyone reading, we remain committed to the vision of putting a South African team at the forefront of international tier one Counter-Strike competition. Although this setback has been frustrating, it is still just a setback, and far from the end of Project Destiny 2.0.
Further updates will be communicated in due time. We thank all fans of Bravado for their continued support and patience during these uncertain times. We look forward to celebrating further progress with you all soon.
